Non-Profit Application for Portage Health Foundation's Giving Tuesday Donation Match 2021


We've donated more than $1 million over the last four years to local non-profits. Make sure your organization is included this year.


This Giving Tuesday we'd love to have your non-profit join us for a day of fundraising to support great causes. Over the last four years, Portage Health Foundation raised more than $1,000,000 through #GivingTuesday. We will once again have a match this year, but the exact amount is not finalized yet. All of these donations are made to non-profits in Baraga, Houghton, Keweenaw and Ontonagon counties here in Michigan's Copper Country.

To be eligible, an organization must meet the following criteria:

  • Be recognized by the Internal Revenue Service as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
  • Be domiciled (incorporated) in Baraga, Houghton, Keweenaw, and/or Ontonagon counties in Michigan and serve the citizens of the same.
  • Have a current certified financial audit and/or 990, 990-EZ or 990-N filing.
  • Applicants must be current with their tax status and have a current License to Solicit Charitable Contributions, unless exempt under MCL 400.283.
  • Must not be a religious or educational institution.
  • Have a mission related to Portage Health Foundation's Areas of Emphasis.
  • OR raise funds for a specific project that relates to those areas.
